LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
•Students will choose a topic of personal interest from a given list.
•Students will speak about their chosen topic to a peer using complete sentences.
•Students will write five simple sentences about their chosen topic.
INTRODUCTION:
•Greeting and short engaging warm-up activity: Share one favorite thing (food, game, etc.) with the class in one sentence.
•Review of the previous lesson: Ask a student to recite one line from the "ပင်ဝါးရုံ" poem.
•Check of students’ prior knowledge related to the topic: Discuss what a 'title' or 'topic' means for writing or speaking.
•Announcement of today’s lesson topic: Explain that we will choose our own topics to talk and write about things we like.
TEACHING METHODS:
•Topic Selection: Teacher reads the list of topics aloud and briefly discusses what each one could include.
•Speaking Model: Teacher models speaking about one topic (e.g., My Family) in three short sentences.
PRACTICE ACTIVITIES:
•Think-Pair-Share: Students think about their topic, then talk about it with a partner for one minute each.
•Sentence Writing: Students write five sentences about their chosen topic in their exercise books.
ASSESSMENT:
•Observe students' participation and clarity during the partner speaking activity.
•Review the five written sentences for relevance to the topic and basic sentence structure.
HOMEWORK:
