LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
•Students will be able to identify and read simple Myanmar words.
•Students will be able to arrange given letters to form words.
•Students will be able to write simple Myanmar words.
INTRODUCTION:
•Greet students and sing a short Myanmar alphabet song.
•Briefly recall the consonant and vowel sounds learned previously.
•Ask students if they know any simple Myanmar words.
•Announce that today they will learn to arrange, read, and write words.
TEACHING METHODS:
•Direct Instruction: Teacher will introduce new words and demonstrate how to read them.
•Guided Practice: Teacher will guide students in arranging letters to form words.
PRACTICE ACTIVITIES:
•Word Building: Students will arrange letter cards to form simple words shown by the teacher.
•Writing Practice: Students will practice writing the learned words in their notebooks.
ASSESSMENT:
•Observe students’ participation and accuracy during word building and writing activities.
HOMEWORK:
•Students will write three new words learned in class twice each.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
•Flashcards with Myanmar consonants and vowels.
•Whiteboard or large paper.
•Markers or chalk.
•Student notebooks and pencils.
